Pokerrito Hornby Is Coming Back: Reopening August 1

Our downtown Vancouver location at 991 Hornby St reopens on August 1, 2026. After a vehicle collided with the storefront this past spring, we rebuilt from the front door in — and we can’t wait to serve the Hornby, Robson, and Yaletown neighbourhood again with fresh poke bowls, sushi burritos, and Warm Pokerritos.

It’s been a tough few months for our Hornby team, but the response from this neighbourhood made all the difference. Thank you to every regular who checked in, asked when we’d be back, and kept ordering at our other Vancouver locations while we rebuilt. This reopening is for you.

When does Pokerrito Hornby reopen?

Pokerrito Hornby reopens on August 1, 2026, returning to daily hours of 11am–9pm at 991 Hornby St. Follow @pokerrito on Instagram for the exact opening-day details, first-week surprises, and a first look at the rebuilt space.

What happened to the Hornby location?

This past spring, a vehicle collided with our Hornby storefront, damaging the front of the shop and forcing us to close for repairs. No cause for alarm today — we’ve spent the months since rebuilding the space so we can reopen better than before. The heart of the menu hasn’t changed; the shop out front is simply brand new.

Where is Pokerrito Hornby?

Pokerrito Hornby sits at 991 Hornby St on the west side of downtown Vancouver — one block south of Robson Street and the Vancouver Art Gallery, and within walking distance of Yaletown, the West End, and Davie Village. The closest SkyTrain stations are Vancouver City Centre (Canada Line) and Burrard (Expo Line). See the full details on our Hornby location page.

What’s on the menu when we reopen?

Everything you remember. Classic Poke Bowls (from $14.95), sushi burritos / poke burritos (from $12.95), the torched-and-sauced Warm Pokerrito, and Build Your Own with 50+ combinations of sushi-grade salmon, tuna, plant-based proteins, and globally inspired sauces — all made fresh to order.

Can I still get Pokerrito while Hornby reopens?

Yes. Until August 1, our nearby downtown location at Dunsmuir St has you covered, and you can explore all our Vancouver locations for the spot closest to you. Once Hornby reopens, downtown’s west side has its poke home back.

Thank you, downtown Vancouver

Rebuilding wasn’t the plan for this spring, but the support from our neighbours, nearby offices, and regulars made it possible. We’re proud to be Vancouver’s original poke chain since 2016 — and prouder still to be coming back to Hornby Street. See you on August 1.
